Thai Non-Immigrant Visa 1

God knows how smart are we, four of us from USM come to Chiang Rai, Thailand as a student exchange under MIT Program without a suitable visa. In fact, we came with only the normal tourist visa as told by our deputy dean and also the international officer that we dont need the student visa to come here. As others had been ask and confirm again, so we believes them and come just like this as time is also limited.

This is what a lesson has to be learn when you dont have enough knowledge. Our visa only last for 1 month study at here. Since 2-3 weeks ago, we had been worrying about this matter. Luckily the International affairs at MFU here, P'Ngew is trying her best to help us to find the solutions too.

After waiting for a quite long period, last Friday we are taking risk on ourselves first time travel without anyone guide to Mae Sai, it was the first time we take on bus at Thailand also.

We woke up on 7 and finally took the mini bus, "Song-teaw" at around 830 to outside to wait for bus,

waited for the bus until 9++ reach at Mae Sai about 10++,

took another ''Song-teaw" and finally we reach our destination for the day, the Immigration Office at Chiang Rai at 11am, but when we reach there, the officer tell us we cant extend our visa like this, as afraid of miss-communication we contact P'Ngew regarding that, and ending up that we have to travel to Bangkok for the Immigration Office, only to do THIS!

That day was already 1st July 2011, which our visa ends on 3rd July, and we travel for 3 hours plus just wasted like this. We need to leave here within half an hour.==

Plus also P'Ngew asked us to back to Mae Fah Luang University immediately to discuss on that matter. So how??
