Vietnam Trip Day 3: Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels

Dear all my friends, Forgive me for my laziness and here let's the picture tell the story again.
First Destination of the Day: Cao Dai temple

Description: Cao Dai Temple is a temple which combined those religion that we been studying in history.
The Confusianme, Buddism, Muslim, Kristian, and many other else that I can hardly remember now.
Our purpose to come here, (arranged by the tour) is to watch their prayers, to see the building,
to see how is the combination or I shall call it as UNITED religion from all.
*actually it is hard for me from Malaysia the multi-religion country to imagine this to be happen,
and also don't want this to be happen too.

Overview for the big temple

This is somehow like the logo of this religion,
someone show me its the same as the symbol of one dollar from US.

The inner view of the temple. Really damn BIG!

Last but not least, this is the only one I can show to you guys,
which can be seen the combinations of all the religion.
Can you understand it now? @@
Can you accept it by the way??

Second and also the last destination: Cu Chi Tunnels

Here it goes to a place where we watch the VCR for the story of the Cu Chi Tunnels.

The big map that show all the region, the red one is representing the Cu Chi Tunnels stayed by the komunis,
The triangle was the camp build by the British (not sure which country, British or US)
The pink was showing the family member of the komunis (the local people la)

It is originally all the forest..

the opening of the tunnels, is just as small as this..
So, I can imagine, (no fat people is available in Vietnam particularly on that time)
*Jump in!!!*

*Take up the cover!*

*Close it! and Disappeared!*
Can you see where the people hide? XD

The Trap that made by the local people.
(previously with no Grip to show the exact place.)

When the attackers come and tot they found the entrance...
Here they ends their live blindly...

Some other holes for the entrance maybe??

Another one..

One more~~~~ @@

When there is some days of rest, where the outsiders don't attack
They appeared to the ground and relax..

One of the vehicle that brought by the west to attack the local ones.

A few traps that created by the komunis to defense themselves.

Here shows how they made the bomb from the material.
The two models (the real person) are our tourguide for the day and also another local vietnam guy which I talked to. =D

Here is where you can try on shooting the AK 47 and also M 16.
*I don't shoot first is due to it is too expensive for me, and secondly, I am waiting if got the chance to try it during the PLKN a.k.a nasional service that I am still yet to enter.

This shows how the last time, the local people make their slippers from the tire (the bomb were using the same material too.. @@)

The End of Day 3 and also almost all the place we been visited.
Besides the area where we stay and the crazy walkaway that conducted by me. =D

Vietnam Trip Day 2: Mekong River

The second day was a full day tour to Mekong river.

It takes about two hours from the place we stayed to reach the destination called the My Tho City.

As we cross the bridge for Mekong River, the tour guide shows us the coconut trees that as the important income for the people. But crossing the bridge remind me of Penang Bridge. And just realized how much I miss Penang. Is this a good sign or a bad one? Which means that the probability I will stay in Melaka after graduation will be much lower now. >.<

Overall what I still remember in the trip is we go to the My Tho city by bus for around two hours. Then take a motorboat to the Con Phung (Phoenix Island) to see the Rice Paper making and then Have lunch at the Garden Restaurant for Vietnam Style Lunch. Then cruise to see the Coconut Candy Making. Took the horse ride to another place to watch the Vietnam Musics and Singing. Then four people in a boat to back to the motor boat (the boat is with motor also but the people try to let us have the feeling for the old time so they use the traditional way lol.

This is the motor boat we sit along the Mekong river.

The drying process for the Rice Paper making process.

Griding the soaked rice to get the "juice"

I like those roof like atap house that make me feels the traditional way of living.
At the same time reminds me of the simple life that I always dream off.

The dog and the statue. Like competing who is more handsome.
XD

The Korean Pretties are here with us along the whole day.
Same with some handsome too!!
*Typing with the saliva dropping.. muahaha

we passed through the river along these trees along the Mekong river
to the place manufacturing coconut candy
and on the way leaving also.

Enjoy the old time scene.
Although knowing that there is actually motor on the boat. >.<

The process of making coconut candy:
1. Get all the content of the coconut fiber

2. squeeze them in pack by pack

3. Dissolve the content and let it melt

4. Stirring for 45 minutes. at the same time for adding sugar and favouring..

Cool it down in a big bowl and then

5. Shape them out

6. Row by row and then cut it into rectangle shape

7. Final process: Packing by rice paper and paper then putting them into plastic.
Process of making coconut candy done. =D

Back in the motor boat

some scenes that i have taken down as a memories.
Basically the house is follow French style according to the tour guide

Love the Nature!!
Weird founding: there is a few grave that appears in the middle of the field,
or some besides the house.
Alone or by pairs.
Only a few with bigger family accompany.
Pity them or shall envy that they have bigger space unlike us in M'sia?
LOL

This one is normally how the shop look like in Vietnam.

the mosque I found in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

the local bus.
Consider a better one compared to Thailand local bus.

After the Mekong River trip, we back to hotel, and then come out again by the bus no.11 for the Ben thanh Market, according to the customer service assistant. So we follow the map to there by 6pm there.
Unfortunately, the shops start to close on that day too. Managed to buy a little souvenir finally.

Then we walked without looking at the map. Randomly until tired. Walk back follow the map. Stopped by a cafe to order for a drink. *look at the menu, all the unknown language. I decided to simply finger pointing.
haha.. A way to enjoy to have a surprise on what you will get lol..

There is a lot of resting park you can find in the City.
as my friend said:
This is a place without IPHONE and IPOD
I mean at least less and people more towards the type we used to be when we are young
I mean for myself. I Did remember last time opposite my house were a playground that aloud us to play badminton and have fun there!
But no more now. T.T

This kind of clock reminds me of my hometown, the clock tower in Melaka. =D

I prefer this one rather than the one available in Melaka nowadays.
SINCERELY!

Ok, here I am done with the second day. muahaha
