It takes about two hours from the place we stayed to reach the destination called the My Tho City.
As we cross the bridge for Mekong River, the tour guide shows us the coconut trees that as the important income for the people. But crossing the bridge remind me of Penang Bridge. And just realized how much I miss Penang. Is this a good sign or a bad one? Which means that the probability I will stay in Melaka after graduation will be much lower now. >.<
Overall what I still remember in the trip is we go to the My Tho city by bus for around two hours. Then take a motorboat to the Con Phung (Phoenix Island) to see the Rice Paper making and then Have lunch at the Garden Restaurant for Vietnam Style Lunch. Then cruise to see the Coconut Candy Making. Took the horse ride to another place to watch the Vietnam Musics and Singing. Then four people in a boat to back to the motor boat (the boat is with motor also but the people try to let us have the feeling for the old time so they use the traditional way lol.
This is the motor boat we sit along the Mekong river.
The drying process for the Rice Paper making process.
Griding the soaked rice to get the "juice"
I like those roof like atap house that make me feels the traditional way of living.
At the same time reminds me of the simple life that I always dream off.
The dog and the statue. Like competing who is more handsome.
XD
The Korean Pretties are here with us along the whole day.
Same with some handsome too!!
*Typing with the saliva dropping.. muahaha
we passed through the river along these trees along the Mekong river
to the place manufacturing coconut candy
and on the way leaving also.
Enjoy the old time scene.
Although knowing that there is actually motor on the boat. >.<
The process of making coconut candy:
1. Get all the content of the coconut fiber
2. squeeze them in pack by pack
3. Dissolve the content and let it melt
4. Stirring for 45 minutes. at the same time for adding sugar and favouring..
Cool it down in a big bowl and then
5. Shape them out
6. Row by row and then cut it into rectangle shape
7. Final process: Packing by rice paper and paper then putting them into plastic.
Process of making coconut candy done. =D
Back in the motor boat
some scenes that i have taken down as a memories.
Basically the house is follow French style according to the tour guide
Love the Nature!!
Weird founding: there is a few grave that appears in the middle of the field,
or some besides the house.
Alone or by pairs.
Only a few with bigger family accompany.
Pity them or shall envy that they have bigger space unlike us in M'sia?
LOL
This one is normally how the shop look like in Vietnam.
the mosque I found in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
the local bus.
Consider a better one compared to Thailand local bus.
Unfortunately, the shops start to close on that day too. Managed to buy a little souvenir finally.
Then we walked without looking at the map. Randomly until tired. Walk back follow the map. Stopped by a cafe to order for a drink. *look at the menu, all the unknown language. I decided to simply finger pointing.
haha.. A way to enjoy to have a surprise on what you will get lol..
There is a lot of resting park you can find in the City.
as my friend said:
This is a place without IPHONE and IPOD
I mean at least less and people more towards the type we used to be when we are young
I mean for myself. I Did remember last time opposite my house were a playground that aloud us to play badminton and have fun there!
But no more now. T.T
This kind of clock reminds me of my hometown, the clock tower in Melaka. =D
I prefer this one rather than the one available in Melaka nowadays.
SINCERELY!
Ok, here I am done with the second day. muahaha
