The Banned Movie in Malaysia

I recalled a movie list of mine which I have long forgotten  until I saw in Facebook another movie <Banglasia> which has been banned for more than a year, by Namewee. He was trying to raise fund for his movie to be published online as several ways has been tried to get through the government sector but failed.

So in case of anyone read this blog, well, not much people did I suppose, then if he/she is interested to support then they can do their part to watch the banned movie.

I am not a fan of him, but the banned movie of <Banglasia> has reminded me of one small little to-do list.

2015

November coming to an end finally. Now it left last month for year 2015.

Today is another lazy day, which I am suppose to do some work but end up i just sleep all day long. Feeling physically and emotionally tired after the hectic month, and it is time for a full year review on work. I feel very much to have a quick glance of my 2015.

The biggest changes in the beginning of the year to now is, I have been running back and forth to Melaka until April, until there is no more a need for the rush. Kind of blaming everyone including myself for the loss. Wanted to treat like nothing has changes so far. But you know that everything has changed especially when you go back home. Thus, it make a significantly drop in frequency travelling home.

Still managed to back home once a month though until this month, which I have to spend a weekend at Penang and also annual dinner yesterday so I plan to go home only next month. Sometimes it is hard to face the reality when you have been busy for some period then suddenly you have a break off. The wire seems like could not functioning well.

After last year brought my colleague from China visit Melaka, this year my colleagues have come to Melaka. Three were two days planning with my coursemates, seniors team graduates and also a few of my batch mates.
with my course-mates waiting for sunset.

With the Thursday night outing colleagues.

with Deb and Jia Yi

Meet back a few of my friends, seniors and juniors at the southern parts of Malaysia. One senior has just got married recently. Not manage to attend though. From Facebook, saw a few of friends have been in another life stage, having a partner, engaged, married, and some with their children.

My sister also going to be official someone's wife as well next year. Not managed to attend her registration day this year due to some reason. I have spend my leave only in Melaka for the year.

After graduate, finally I managed to fulfill my promise to find my girlfriend in Batu Pahat, she has been travelling up to Penang to visit me there, but I have never find her in her university until her graduation and been disturbing her a few time on the journey back to Johor from Melaka. Everyone is busy learning in this stage of life though, we have been long time do not have a heart talk and sharing already. When get to find her also she is the one listening to me mumbling and bring me to the good food around.
Batu Pahat fishball noodle

nice latte in the house

Year to date, it has been more than a year of working life, which it has been over the adoption period of working life. But there is too much changes in work, so until now not yet able to adapt the changing environment and also the people come and go. Which I am not sure how will it be next year, with expecting there will be more changes come along.
Farewell trip with Sang Mei back to her hometown.

Time scroll so fast that even my juniors also have graduated. Due to it is also the same timing as Penang Bridge Marathon, I managed to get back to USM and celebrate with them in person.
DTSP, USM- the hall that each of us enter twice in life time,
first one for orientation.
The second one for graduation.

Good memories in Johor, I have a few people love running the marathon. People ask why am I so in love with marathon. I am not able to tell the answer. I once thought to stop it but when never run, I will never move and when the stress level goes up, I find no way out. Thus, I am still not able to run away from the sports to relieve and heal myself emotionally and physically.

In reality, I am not a risk taker, I always only do things that I am confident with. In fact, marathon one of the special case that I have challenge it again and again. It creates a little up and down for the simple life for this girl.

Movie: Everest

It was a "Me" day once a week if I am not going home, with most of the time hiding in my room to have drama marathon.

Last week my colleagues were mentioning about a post of the level of loneliness that a person can bear. I recalled back the last time I went to movie alone two years back during my birthday. It has been some times so I went out alone over the Saturday to go for groceries shopping and plan for a movie alone date with myself.

Went to the shopping mall early in the morning, first target thought to watch for "the interns" but it is not on the show so at the end I choose for "Everest".

It was a good Me time to watch that movie with a lot of scenes passes through the mind that you don't want anyone to distract you. But the ending was really a sad story as it is according to the real story.

It was the first time I have seen the Everest for real although still in the movie. And I am shocked when the scene of someone asking why people only sharing about if they have been succeeded to reach the tip top but no one share before the journey.
The reason is because the journey is too painful, no one would want to refresh their mind and share it out.

The atmosphere of the mountain is not suitable for layman to survive as there is not enough oxygen. So everyone who went to there for hiking is paying a huge amount for the hiking package and it is still not a guarantee that you can come back safely.

It recalled again the book that I have read "The Last Lectures in Harvard", there is a story of one of the lecturer who are really in love of hiking and had an accident before while climbing the Everest and died in his 50s due to hiking also.

A movie that earned my respect to all the hikers. The adventurous people who dare to strikes for their life. The responsibility each and everyone when dealing with the mother nature. Life is short and what we need to make sure it all worth it.

Do Something Good vs Do Something Right

A few scenario happening around me that it suddenly comes to mind to write it out.

Case study: It was when I was still working with my first part time job. That time I was on my way to catch another bus at Pudu to go back to my workplace, there was a lady stop me and ask if I can speak Mandarin, I thought  that she need help for translation so I tried to listen to her. Then she look like really pity, in hurry and almost cry (this triggered my nerve!), telling me that she come from some place from North Malaysia and to work in a factory, and the boss has not pay the salary for months and now that she cannot survive like this anymore, so she wanted to go home but no money so ask if I have RM20 that I can give her so that she can go home.

The first time met this situation, so without second thought, I take out RM 15  (I am also very poor and first time working only. LOL!) and thought that it could at least help a little. But after I take out my money and the lady go away, then only got one Taxi drive notice this and shout at the lady, then tell me this little innocent girl that this lady is there everyday begging for money and tell the same story to everyone. He even wanted to help me to chase after that lady and when I become  awaken after  his reminder I saw the lady walk far away like a boss and the "pity" look no more already.

Lesson LEARNT.

It happened again two years later. This time an uncle. I remember the timing because it was my second time working part time before I got an offer from university. I was waiting in Pudu again for the transit to my workplace. Sitting at the bench with people around. (I think I am becoming smarter, at least don't be alone).

Different people, happened in the same area and almost the same story. Just that that was a very hot day. Maybe? I was in the waiting area only, but the uncle approach me to ask if I can squeeze a space for him to sit and he was really sweating. Then he started to tell me the same story line. Yeah, after two years!

This time, instead of having the same sympathy, I only wanted to run away from that scene and started to hold my luggage tight. I cannot simply go away or go down to the bus arrival as there is still a while to go for my bus to come. And disregard whether the story is true or not I refuse to give out a single cent.

Outcome: Trust once broken, never easily build again. In fact this happening everywhere I went. A few times in Penang bus station and we see the same one asking for money saying his motorbike run out of petrol and ask for a few ringgit. But tak kan you everyday use motorbike and we pay the bill for you.

Here comes a whole new month!

August seems to be a celebration month and also a busy one. Every weekend is filled with events.

Quietly I have turned to 24 years old. How time flies?

I have survived in this body for 24 years,
I have survived after farewell with Penang and come to a new journey of life,
and most significantly, I have survived for one-year working.

Conversation with people is always talking about when you will meet the partner of your life;
or for those who has found their loved ones, when are them going for another phase of life.

I have a number of cousin whom also at the similar age, some like me just finished studies and starting to work; some has work for few years and ready to settle down.

My age with my three elder sisters are not much different though, just that I have still excuse saying that I am the youngest one at home.

And here is the lucky of being the single one, people will afraid that you will be lonely so will celebrate birthday for you!

Had few of my all time favorite back to hometown, Meehoon Kueh, Lontong, and not forget Nadeje layer cake Rum & Raisin! Always run out of choices don't know what to eat when in Dataran Pahlawan and also Mahkota Parade.

Thanks to those still remember my birthday, and thanks for the gifts, cakes, and wishes.

August 31st, there goes the last day of honeymoon. I went to Batu Pahat to see my love one before back to Johor Bahru. Thanks to my dear Adrina to bring me eat nice food and coffee! Managed to stop myself to drink for cold drinks, the mocha taste so nice! I like the environment of Rocks Garden Restaurant! We went during tea break, my dinner before I head back to Johor for work the next day.

And September has come too fast on its way. Last three months before 2015 end though I have yet to achieve any goal in this year and it is time to plan for 2016? What I can plan is only next year trip~ What is your next destination to go?

Weekend Runaway from Johor: KL Zoo Negara, I-city, KLIA2

Last weekend I run away from Johor with Kakak to KL. Run together but with different target, meet up with different people. Three of us depart from office after work to go KL.

From Johor we go to KLIA2 then I followed my other colleague to Subang Jaya, the place that I once live for four months. Shall I consider the place as my first working place for food industry? It was during my internship, only a short period but really a memorable one when I think back. Although I have been busy weighing and cooking in that period, I still miss the time that after cooking I still need to wash all the containers.

Or maybe due to it is my internship that's why everything look so simple and the gossip in the company is just treat as a joke.

So what did I do over the weekend there? A really short one.

My friend who leave me at Johor come and pick me up to her hotel and the next day we went to Zoo Negara. It was started as an idea as I think I need to find some place to kill time but not shopping. Then she helped me to gather all the people and that makes the plan.

It was a simple and lazy vacation at KL. I thought we will play in Zoo for  whole day long, but we managed to finish the journey within three hours but it is still more worth than UK farm. And yeah, don't ask me why kept go to see animals. I have no idea also. Haha. UK farm for my kambing brothers, but Zoo I did not enter for my twins panda.

I thought it should be more than ten years since I entered a Zoo, but realized I did went to Zoo at Sabah to see Orang Utan too. But anyway, I am sure it is more than ten  years since I last seen a Giraffe. LOL!

And I did remember I entered Zoo Melaka before, but really have no image of the  animal in it. So everything is fresh, including the "boo" of the animal. XD.

We were amazed by the bird park, which is like an open area, but the birds just gathered here, we are doubting how they not leave this place since they are free to go. My naughty friend go and chase after the birds. and I record in a video. Hehe.

Then no body knows where to go for lunch, so I simply suggest The Mines, one of the place I went during my internship as well. To meet my friend at UPM.

Without shopping we left the place. T.T. We back to the hotel and get some rest after lunch.

At the night, Iznie bring me to I-city, I been there  a few times but not  yet go to see the lights at night. So we went to that place for dinner and just walk around. Too bad it was a raining day. We managed to snap some photos then decided to go home.
This is how single people seek for love always see thing.
The tree look like a love shape to me. Hahahaha.

Monkey is too busy this weekend to meeting up her friend,
so I took this as a remarks that we will so near yet so far again. hahaha.
Last time was at IKEA, she in the office I am eating roti and currypuff outside.

Did not enter to see Panda in Zoo as I think it is not worth for RM20 just to see Panda, but saw the KungFu Panda in I-city so we took a picture with him.

The next morning I meet up with my UPM friend that I know at Thailand, Atiqah. Others were busy. She brought us for breakfast at the Pasar Karat. Nice catch up since after my internship. She is a good kakak too. Huhu. I forgot to take photo with her. And I go disturb the other of our friend while waiting for my friend in KLIA2, How I wish that I will be going to take off flight there instead of going back to Johor. Hehe.

Back to office on Monday, chit chat with my colleagues and boss during lunch time, they said that I am too protected by the family since I have three sisters. I think no, I have tried my best to leave home and to be independent at different places. But I think, I am always being lucky, with all the abang and kakak (nor matter if they are actually younger than me) around. I am always the adik. The end result of me when I was ten years old, I am the youngest in class. Hehe. Forever kiddo. A.k.a 长不大的小孩
P/s it was my first time to the new airport too! Hehe... and here is end of the random blog.

A Day Trip to Kluang: Gathering or Farewell?

Yesterday, I had a one day trip with the graduates here to Kluang, Johor.

My target was to go for UK Farm as people mentioned to me that it is recommended place to visit in Johor. So, after officially one year here, I finally make the plan works to go with few of my buddies here.

Senior from Kluang tell me a few new places that I can consider there, which is at a cheaper price than UK Farm: Zenxin Organic Park and Gunung Lambak. After discuss with my travel mates, we decided to go for Zenxin and UK Farm.

It is about one hour from Johor to Kluang, we depart at 8 in the morning. Reached Zenxin at 9.30 am, the weather is good, so we go to rent bicycle there. The feeling is good but the bicycle is not really well maintained and also the road is a little challenge for us to cycle.

Anyway, the feeling of riding a bicycle is good, enjoying the winds and finally get to see the growth of the vegetable and fruits that we used to eat. One thing which is not so good for me is the ants there kept bite me whenever I step on the ground. Ouch! Jumping up and down to get rid of them.

My dad used to tell me story in the past for his young time. He was once a farmer with my grandpa in Kulai for almost a year. Finally a better picture I can get for what he has describe. I am sure he will like this place! Or will give comments on the way and which is the better way!

At the organic park, we saw a garden for herbs, trying to recognize those familiar plants. I missed daddy again, in the appreciation mood that what he had taught me.The mushroom house is a little disappointing, there is empty inside, the worker there told us that it is a little too expensive to grow them.
Until about 11 am, the Sun starts to get too hot and the feeling of burning our skin.

Before leaving the park, we had our lunch there, the entrance fee to rent bicycle is RM 15 per person, which also includes RM 5 restaurant voucher.
The food looks really healthy, I had marmite chicken set meal and mulberry juice with honey. Yummy!

Next station we heading to UK Agro Resort, didn't expect the road condition. I feel sorry for my friend's car to be use for the journey. >.<  Anyway, the place is more organized than Zenxin as there is a few station has been scheduled for us to visit the place. The price is consider high for me, that I will only come once even after so many people recommend the place before.

My friends tease at me saying that they don't know what is in this farm and from my conversation I only kept mentioned about goats and sheep. I got to admit that I only knows about these two creatures there only. Hahahahaha. So the trip is to visit my "long lost sibling" the Kambing~~ Mehhhhh~~~~

At there I became part time translator to Bariqi, the tour guide are mainly explaining in Chinese, maybe it is what their main customer used to be.

We had a pack of grass to feed the adult goats and also goats milk for the baby goats. They demonstrate how they get goat milk, while us, a bunch of food industry newbies is busy criticize of the way of working. Laughed and laughed. We get to try the goat milk and I bought the ice cream, but the ice cream is already flavored with vanilla, chocolate or strawberry.

At this moment, I slightly disappointed when compared to my Taiwan trip in 2013 at Qingjing. There definitely a bigger farm and I am so excited with the sheep show. I even bought a sheep that can tear off the skin. Hahaha. And if not remember it wrong, the ticket is much cheaper than this. >.<

After say hello to my species, the remaining attractions is just not really attractive to me already. Haha. There got ostrich (only one left, a lonely one). Back to last visit at Desaru, we had seen more than hundreds of it. Then turkey. A jakun village.
The lonely Ostrich
and there is "jakun" living at the tree.

The mushroom house here is better than the one in Zenxin, with the growth of Oyster Mushroom and also Lingzhi. The entrance ticket aloud us to have mushroom snack per person. I imagine it as the deep fried mushrooms. But end up it is 2 types that we has to choose, pickled mushroom or lingzhi drink.

So end up the estimated 3 hours journey we managed to finish in 2 hours.

See the timing is still early so we can have a visit to the famous kopi, Kluang Railway Coffee. I am not the coffee lover but I am surrounded by a few coffee addicts, they kept got people recommend the coffee to me. Since the time is still early, we decided to go to the railway station to get a cup of coffee.

It is really good taste of coffee. Debera cannot stand the bitter taste of the coffee, while the rest of us find the coffee really worth for visit, with addition to its roasted bun. Debera had its half-boiled eggs too.

The journey was not perfectly planned and there is some disappointing part along the journey. But it was a satisfying one for me to know the people more and create our memories at this city. Five of us are from different states and work in different department in this company. It is fate (badminton) that let us have the chance to know each other. We never know who is the next one to say goodbye and so we can only promise to each other at this moments is we will sure meet again in the future!

I am glad to know these people in my first job. (v)(^. .^)(v)

à bientôt!

First "Oversea" Marathon Experience: Singapore 2xu Compression Run

It was the first and maybe last run in Singapore, after the Malaysian Ringgit drop dramatically this year. But it was the first half marathon I joined after Penang Bridge International Marathon. A whole new experience at a different place.

How far is 21.1 km? I have run through half marathon since Year 1 in USM. But cannot tell exactly the distance. Sue Anne tell me the journey from my place in Johor to Legoland is about 20 km when she helping me checking out the map to that place.

Which means if I am crazy enough, I can actually reach the place by barefoot! Only for sure it will take me 3.5 hours in order to reach the destination. LOL!

Okay, let's get back to my first experience of marathon outside of Malaysia. This run supposed to be organised in March but postponed until yesterday! Well, it should be good for us, the lazy one to have a longer training period.

I have my feet injured one week earlier. But the preparation time and money spend make me decided to go for it. When come to running, a word from a friend of mine always reminding me: Keep running, trust your capability, You are stronger than what you think.

The run started at 4.30 a.m., time limit for 4 hours to finish the journey, which is later than Penang run of the limit 3.5 hours. Managed to run within Penang run limit. Supposed to be earlier if my feet wasn't injured. Reached around 8 a.m. which I ran from dark night until morning!
The scenery at last 2 km of the run, the sky has turn bright!

The legs start feeling the pain even before the run. Sometimes, the stubborn within me cannot help. Along the journey I feel like to give up, but I don't wish the regret happened again after the full marathon last year, the situation that I am not able to finish the journey. Just that now got to have some times for recover after yesterday run.

The run satisfied me with its organised event and water supplied along the journey.
It also open my eyes that so many people are really running consistently along the journey,
It is only seeing people slow down at the last 5 km so you will be motivated to keep running the best you can.
Lastly, the pain reminds me of I am still alive. Feeling so good!

Oh ya. Forgot to mentioned, The reason I join the run is because the running vest look so cool! And not forget the Medal!

My first and last marathon run in Singapore, this month I have been in and out to cross the border, I think it is nice that there are several places that you can run and jog, so it might be one day me just simply cross the border again and go for the jog. XD.

Sue Anne's Visit at Johor Bahru Part 2: Badminton and "Sight seeing" trip

Morning: Badminton

The second day when Sue Anne was here in Johor, it is lovely Sunday that I used to play badminton with the colleagues when I first came in. Now everyone becoming busy and hardly we have time to maintain the sports.

Sue Anne was the one who make me started to play back badminton in the university. Before that I have stop playing for at least 7 or 8 years. Remember vividly that was one hour single player session with her in the court, my face turned red like a tomato showing I really lack of exercise even I have had my marathon experience.

So I suggest her that to bring her racket to play with us, and yeah, she never disappoint me she really brought it! We went to badminton in the morning then introduce her for Kacang Pool near my place as to change her mindset that Johor has nothing much worth trying.
Photo steal from Adrina,
the last visit I have also introduce her the same thing.
____________________________________________________________________________
Afternoon: The journey to go further south?

We went to Legoland, Hello Kitty Theme Park and Puteri Harbour. The part that I thought to go take some photo at the entrance but not really want to pay the entrance fee.

We walk through the Lego Hotel and go until the entrance of Legoland, took some pictures and then we leave to the Puteri Harbour which is not far and along the way there are signboard to give direction.

Initially I thought there is nothing in the Hello Kitty Theme Park as we do not plan to enter the theme park, then we realized both the theme park and Puteri Harbour is connected, and has more shops to check it out compared to Legoland.

Found one Superheroes Cafe when Sue Anne pointed it out. I remember it was suggested by Seik Hua for our next meet up. So I suggested we can have something there. Realized the photo for food is consider still ok only, not really worth for photo, so I decided only to get the drink. Had my cup of "Batsy" and snap photo. It is a nice try and we have our drink there and due to no plan after that we plan to wait for the sunset to get some photo.

It is actually quite early for the day, we walk around and saw a jetty, walk there and we realized we are at the borders to Singapore again, Sue Anne found a new way to cross border but we were stop by the security when want to move on further. XD.

We found a very "Lego" feel of ship stopping there and was with music on of a very relaxing type. Good place to pakto anyway.

Then we walk back to Puteri Harbour to wait for the sunset. Suddenly she found rainbow, get some picture of it.

After a while, I saw a double rainbow from the photo, then we realized there is double rainbow from the angle.
I had a friend who believe and make me believe that double rainbows will bring luck for tomorrow. And is is especially inspiring when you really need it.

Waited until 7.30 pm, not sure is it due to clouds and rain, we are not managed to get a good picture for sunset, but anyway the rainbow is worth enough for our wait.

Back to Johor Bahru for dinner, Debera is back from KL, so the new friends meet up again. All the 91's kids. I don't know where to suggest for food again, so from the first day I wanted to bring Sue Anne to go for the "mee hoon kueh" at near my house, end up become her last meal in Johor.

_________________________________________________________________________

It is end of Sue Anne study life last month and tomorrow she is going to start her work! All the best Monkey and hope we will really able to maintain an annual trip each year to catch up what we left for! And lets cheers for our five years crazy friendship that started first day of university!

Thanks to fate that let us meet as you really brought me tons of fun for university and life!

Sue Anne's Visit at Johor Bahru Part 1: Singapore 12 hours trip

She is one of my buddies in university, and almost all my friends know her. Part of it maybe I really have limited friends.

Story begins at we mentioned before wanted to go for trip together once a year. Started from 2013, we went to Kuching, Sarawak together. She missed the Langkawi trip last year due to presentation date. This year she visited me in Johor Bahru after finished her study and before starting her working life.

After doing her survey, she decided to go for Singapore for a day and another day in Johor.

Day before she came, I got my feet twisted at home. But that not going to stop us for travelling. We started our journey at wee hours in the morning to travel to Singapore, as aiming to go for the sunrise. But the journey was not that smooth that we were stuck at the custom for almost an hour to hoop on the bus from Singapore custom to the Kranji MRT station. And best thing is I left my phone before the custom in my car.

Since we were still too early we decided to follow our original plan to go for the first destination @Lower Seletar Reservoir. The venue that she plan to go to catch the sunrise.

Initially we were totally lost, so ask the local people for direction, luckily someone helped us, give us the direction of the reservoir. But we actually found a fish pond with a number of people fishing.

Feeling a little disappointed as we can only watch people fishing but nothing else. So we plan to move to our next destination after taking some photo.

On the way back, we saw a location map, then realized the reservoir place should be further down the pond at the opposite direction, after discuss, we decided to walk to that direction again.

Amazed by the scenery there. I found a jogging paradise here! while Sue Anne found her good location for sunrise although she missed it! So I keep teasing her that I will be there again one day just for sunset and jogging and she also make her promise to re-visit again when she come to Singapore.

We also saw an uncle is practicing there in his strategic location. BRAVO uncle!

After turning half a round, the OKU me cannot walk further, so we return to the MRT station to go to the following location.

She keep mentioning to me the first place is only the locals will know, and the remaining is typical tourist place, Merlion Park, Garden by the bay and Helix bridge. - For me, I think this is what a typical Architect student will do, looking at the recent building structure! Hahaha. Saw a few people sketching at those places, and Sue Anne regrets that she hasn't brought her paper and pen!

Anyway, we spend half a day there and my legs worsening so we have to back to where we come in the afternoon. By the way, photos all credit to Sue Anne as only God knows my phone is still in Malaysia!

Feeling guilty that we did not travel enough, I bring her to the San Lou Seafood Restaurant to have dinner, they are famous with their fried mee hoon, and we also try out the Fish Head Curry here.

After that brought her to the Pasar Karat, hmm, I guess I go to the wrong way, but the legs cannot walk further though. Sigh~~ End of day 1 itinerary!!! ( >.v.< )
