This Thursday after our Thai language conversation class, our classmate, Long bring us to a photography session with Arjan Palm( our Thai language teacher). She is a beautiful lady with a lot of beautiful clothes also. So today still she is the most ''sui'' one.. haha

23/8/2011

23rd August 2011 is my 20th birthday. Finally I m no more 1 in the front. Haha. Should be happy or sad?

Originally I plan to celebrate this special day with my friend in Malaysia. A few of them which have the same birthday month and yet we long time never meet each other already. Life been busy, yet friendship that I would like to always remember. But life is also always unexpected. After planning for so long, yet I am now in Thai. So I just keep the 12-1am in Malaysia time to wish my friend which has a same birthday as mine and also receive my friends wishes from over Facebook, the most popular social network now.

By the way, this year I hide the birthday date in there. Because those who remember will remember it as my birthday. For those who dont know me well or forget about it, it is not a need to remind them to wish me also. Just dont wan my wall to get spam. Haha. And my target achieve. As so, really I appreciate those who wished me, although some is see via Facebook which other friends wish me la.

As I went to bed at 12am here(Thai later than Msia 1 hour), my friends at here, all the Malaysia MIT participants come and sing a birthday song for me bring along a birthday cake for me.
And again Asmeelya as the photographer. Haha..

Again I am speechless maybe? haha.. Thanks a lot to everyone here.. I appreciate it. Khoop Khun Kha..

Teaching Science and Maths in English

http://opinions.sinchew-i.com/node/20611
This article is from Malaysia which talking about the Science and Maths are going to be teach in Malay in Next Year time but in Chinese.

I should be feeling I was so luckily that I been taught by English for Science and Mathematics. Although these might not help me in improving my English language, it at least help me in understanding what I am studying for the University level.

Me, as in high school, are the first batch of candidates that uses English for both subjects after more than ten years they had been switch to Malay.
I have to admit that there are a lot of teachers that cant actually speak well in English in Malaysia, nor matter which races are them. Because they are not used to that and during their high school were in Malay version also.

But my friends and I were lucky to met some teachers who are old enough (some almost to wait for their retirement) who actually teaches us well in English. And yes, I appreciate it a lot. If not been taught in English, I wouldn't speak English, I wouldn't have the chances to speak neither I have much chances to write in English.

Although I cant speak prefect English, at least I get to communicate with others using Simple English. At least it is some ways for us to come out rather than staying in the local societies only. I think all of my friends appreciate this chance also.

BUT our government now are planning to switch back to Malay somehow. I think what supposed to change is the syllabus that have to be change now. It is so huge gap in between even Form 5 and Form 6 level. Don't talk about the Matriculation in Malaysia first. Not need to compare the syllabus of us studying with the 20years ago same level. It is just ashamed while being told by our teachers. As we were still complaining the level is too high for us. In fact, we are being taught to be lazy in somehow, our progress of learning were so slow. How are we going to compete with others? When we even lost in the starting point?

Anyway this is just a blog post that I am telling my opinions now. Maybe I should take my own initiative to study more, to gain more knowledge. Haha. I wonder if there is some way we could change the train now also. >.<
