This week we made food product from soybean, which is actually familiar to us also the soy milk and tofu. And I just found out that it is really easy to make the soy milk. The main ingredient is as simple as soy bean only.
First and foremost, we have to soak the soybean for 6-8hours, then wash it and rinse it.
Then prepare water mix with the soybean and use blender to blend it.
Next we will use cheesecloth to separate the soy milk and the soybean so that it will be smooth without any residue and this is what we have throw away.. waste hor?? haha
Then boil it and put some sugar depends on how much you want to put
and the soy milk product is ready to be served. Just let it cool down and done. ^^
Next with the preparation of tofu, I din see it, basically it is just the steps until filter it with cheesecloth just now, then cook it until about 80degree Celsius, add in some salt, we used Mg2SO4 but I guess normal salt also can be use to coagulate it. Then let it cool down again.. then prepare till like this ---->
To put it layer by layer and press down to squeeze out the water from it..
then use heavy object to press it down for 20 minutes..
lastly.. turn out, the tofu is done!!
Then my group member fried it immediately and it is my supper for the day.. hoho..
