Story begins at we mentioned before wanted to go for trip together once a year. Started from 2013, we went to Kuching, Sarawak together. She missed the Langkawi trip last year due to presentation date. This year she visited me in Johor Bahru after finished her study and before starting her working life.
After doing her survey, she decided to go for Singapore for a day and another day in Johor.
Day before she came, I got my feet twisted at home. But that not going to stop us for travelling. We started our journey at wee hours in the morning to travel to Singapore, as aiming to go for the sunrise. But the journey was not that smooth that we were stuck at the custom for almost an hour to hoop on the bus from Singapore custom to the Kranji MRT station. And best thing is I left my phone before the custom in my car.
Since we were still too early we decided to follow our original plan to go for the first destination @Lower Seletar Reservoir. The venue that she plan to go to catch the sunrise.
Initially we were totally lost, so ask the local people for direction, luckily someone helped us, give us the direction of the reservoir. But we actually found a fish pond with a number of people fishing.
Feeling a little disappointed as we can only watch people fishing but nothing else. So we plan to move to our next destination after taking some photo.
On the way back, we saw a location map, then realized the reservoir place should be further down the pond at the opposite direction, after discuss, we decided to walk to that direction again.
Amazed by the scenery there. I found a jogging paradise here! while Sue Anne found her good location for sunrise although she missed it! So I keep teasing her that I will be there again one day just for sunset and jogging and she also make her promise to re-visit again when she come to Singapore.
We also saw an uncle is practicing there in his strategic location. BRAVO uncle!
After turning half a round, the OKU me cannot walk further, so we return to the MRT station to go to the following location.
She keep mentioning to me the first place is only the locals will know, and the remaining is typical tourist place, Merlion Park, Garden by the bay and Helix bridge. - For me, I think this is what a typical Architect student will do, looking at the recent building structure! Hahaha. Saw a few people sketching at those places, and Sue Anne regrets that she hasn't brought her paper and pen!
Anyway, we spend half a day there and my legs worsening so we have to back to where we come in the afternoon. By the way, photos all credit to Sue Anne as only God knows my phone is still in Malaysia!
Feeling guilty that we did not travel enough, I bring her to the San Lou Seafood Restaurant to have dinner, they are famous with their fried mee hoon, and we also try out the Fish Head Curry here.
After that brought her to the Pasar Karat, hmm, I guess I go to the wrong way, but the legs cannot walk further though. Sigh~~ End of day 1 itinerary!!! ( >.v.< )
